Dhampus peak situated in the Dhaulagiri range is becoming one of the popular peaks in the area. This is not a technical peak however may need to be acclimatized before you try to ascend it. Before ascending the peak, a trek to Thorang Pass (5416 m.) is advisable which helps you to be acclimatised.
From Pokhara, you may take a flight to Jomsom (2250 m.) and make a side trip around for acclimatization propose or alternatively you can trek from Nayapul to all the way Tukche (near Jomsom) via Ghorepani poon hill area.The trail ascends to the Italian Base Camp and is subject to avalanches as it crosses the icy French Col 5240m, traverses the head of Hidden Valley and crosses Thapa Pass. Much of the route is on snow and glacier especially around Dhaulagiri Base Camp. The trek ends with a steep descent on a winding trail to Yak Kharka and finally Marpha in Mustang district, then follows the Annapurna trail north to Jomsom from where you fly to Pokhara and then on to Kathmandu.

Day 02: Trek to Babiyachaour.
Day 03: Trek to Darbang.
Day 04: Trek to Takum.
Day 05: Trek to Muri.
Day 06: Trek to Bagara.
Day 07: Trek to Doban.
Day 08: Trek to Italian Base Camp.
Day 09: Acclimatization day at Italian Base Camp.
Day 10: Trek to Dhaulagiri Base Camp.
Day 11: Trek to Hidden Valley (5000m.) crossing French Pass (5360m.).
Day 12: Rest day at Hidden Valley.
Day 13: Summit Dhampus peak
Day 14: Trek to Yak Kharka crossing the Thapa Pass (5200m).
Day 15: Trek down to Tukuche.
Day 16: Trek to Ghasa.
Day 17: Trek to Tatopani.
Day 18: Rest day at Tatopani (Natural hot spring).
Day 19: Trek to Ghorepani.
Day 20: Trek to Tikedhunga
Day 21: Trek to Nayapul (4 hours), then drive to Pokhara.
Day 22: Drive Pokhara to Kathmandu.

We will spend 2 nights at a 4-star hotel Before our trek. During trekking, we will spend 22 nights with tent at our camping.
During our Dhaulagiri Round 17 day trek, Our Cook make verities of typical Nepali food, different ethnic cuisines as well as all types of international cuisine (Tibetan, Continental, Italian, and Indian.) from pizza and Chips to apple pie. We can even enjoy hot chocolates, variety of breads, variety of drinks, and snacks. Breakfast of a day will be served from the tea house or lodge menu where we spent the night.
